Project: Brand extension & packaging design

The Brief:

Develop an extension under the Star brand for a new product consisting in potato pellets with natural flavours and playful shapes.

The packaging design would convince the mothers that Star Fun is a healthy product and attract the children with the playful approach.

The Strategy:

Attract the kids with the right visuals and ensure the mothers with the right message.

The Creative Concept:

After creating a straightforward message in terms of health claims, we had to integrate such claims in the design in a manner that would be appealing to children. Thus, we developed the concept as an invitation to discover the wonders of the two Star Fun worlds: Safari and Marine. Vivid colors, balloons, curvy fonts – this is the recipe to catch a kid’s eye. We balanced the overall look with a clean architecture. The result was FUN to reach and FUN to look at.

 

Hamé

Client: Orkla Foods

Brand: Hame Select

Project: Packaging redesign

The Brief:

Orkla Foods is a leading European food company with a lot of leading food brands.

Ampro redesigned their fish can upper mainstream brand, Hame Select with the purpose of solving the design problems of the pack: lack of consistency, poor differentiation, lack of a good front of pack hierarchy.

The Solution:

The solution was to completely reorganize the front of pack, by having the brand logo in the center and by adding the golden upper wave as a brand signal.

The product descriptor was significantly increased to ensure a better readability and a better differentiation in the range.

Versus Pharma

Client: Pi Pharma M&D

Brand: Versus

Project: Corporate rebranding

The Brief:

Redesign the brand identity of Pi Pharma, a local pharmaceutical trader.

After conducting a brand audit, the main recommendation was to change the brand name from Pi Pharma to a totally new brand name.

The Strategy:

Using the explorer archetype and taking into consideration the brand values, we extracted the new brand essence: “Greater good for the people” and the new brand name: Versus.

Creative concept:

For a disruptive name in the pharmaceutical industry, Versus, we decided that we also need a disruptive visual identity: completely black & white visual identity, enriched by the colorful and full of life pictures.

Nestlé – Joe Noir

Client: Nestlé Romania

Brand: Joe

Project: Packaging design

The Brief:

Joe is the local iconic brand of wafers of Nestle, launched 20 years ago on the Romanian market.

Nestle commissioned Ampro to create the packaging design for an upper mainstream range under Joe that translates the indulgence theme. We had to keep the brand architecture while marking the different product range.

The Solution:

We managed to find the right mix of the Joe brand cues (purple color, cloud & wings) and the black color, relevant for the Noir subrange differentiation.

 

 

Hochland – Grünländer

Client: Hochland Romania

Brand: Grünländer

The Brief:
Hochland is the leading cheese brand in Romania, with significant market share across the entire Europe.

Ampro’s task was to design a new packaging for a new natural cheese product that will sell with or without the Hochland pledge of quality.

The Solution:
“Branza cu suflet verde” (the cheese with a green/natural soul) was the main creative root. Nonetheless, we wanted to have the natural aspect up-front. The heart-shaped, transparent window brought the whole concept to life. The natural elements such as flowers and grass came to complete the naturalness that was stated in the creative concept.

Auchan – Apple Juice

Client: Auchan Romania

Brand: Private Label Fruit Juice

The Brief:

To continue a long-term partnership that had been initiated in 2009, Ampro redesigned more than 400 products for Auchan own brands in 2019.

The Solution:

The creative concept gravitates around the key-words “natural”, “fresh” and “healthy”.

Drinking straight from the fruit itself is the metaphor that best describes the freshness and naturalness of the new Auchan fruit juices.

Prodlacta Tango

Client: Prodlacta

Brand: Tango

The Brief:

Prodlacta is a local brand of dairy products and ice cream factory.

Ampro’s task was to redesign the visual identity and packaging of Tango ice cream.

 

The Solution:

Super appealing product illustration, mandatory for an impulse product packaging, surrounded by vivid and full of life floral illustrations to add sophistication to the product.

Cocktail Fruct

Client: Prodlacta

Brand: Cocktail Fruct

The Brief:

Prodlacta is a local dairy products and ice cream factory.

Ampro’s task was to redesign the visual identity and packaging of Cocktail Fruct, the fruity ice cream brand of Prodlacta.

The Solution:

Being an impulse product, we needed to send the right message in just a wink:

Easy, Fruity & Refreshing!

A pergola as a brand signal, super appealing ice cream and abundant fruits.

 

 

Heidi Mini

Project: Packaging design

The Brief:

Heidi Chocolate needed a premium design for their new product: Heidi Mini Tablets. We had to develop the design for the individual packaging, as well as for the box containing the tablets.

The Solution:

The dark chocolate required a dark packaging and we chose the classic black, the iconic color for elegancy, distinction and simple beauty. The golden fonts and special finishing were used to only emphasize the premiumness of the product. The brown background behind the mini-tablets suggests the creamy chocolate and, together with the product shot, generates taste appeal.

 

 

 

 

Milde

Client: Ficosota

Brand: Milde

Project: Packaging redesign

The Brief:

Ficosota, one of the European market leaders in hygiene products, appointed Ampro to slightly redesign the Milde packaging, their upper mainstream toilet paper brand.

The main goal of the brief was to uplift the packaging in such a way that would still be recognizable.

The Solution:

In order to perform a gradual change, we simplified the front of pack and upgraded the flavor-related elements. We developed a very clean and simple design, with subtle touches of gold or silver to reinforce the premium look & feel of the brand.
